DescriptionSubjects include houses bordering a canal with canal boats or barges in the water; the skyline of a city with domes and steeples beneath a stormy sky; several views of seaports with warehouses and other buildings on the waterfront and sailing vessels at wharves. Two drawings include a rocky shore in the foreground. One drawing, apparently a copy of a print, depicts a frame building on the shore of a lake or river surrounded by mountains. A fisherman is in the foreground. Two men are in a rowboat at the left. A steamboat and sailboats are in the background.
NotesSubject Note: Most of the drawings were probably made during Edwin Augustus Moore's trip to Europe in 1896. 2004.52.207 appears to be a copy of a print and could have made either earlier or later than that date. (Finlay 8/2/2004)
