DescriptionDrawings and sketches include portraits of men, women, and children. One portrait is based on an early photograph of Nelson A. Moore as a young man. Other drawings show women sketching while seated in an interior; a man in a military uniform seated on a folding chair beside a table; a man rowing a boat; a figure in ancient dress, probably copied from a book illustration; a crowd of people descending from a building, and a man in an overcoat between two men in military uniforms, probably copied from a magazine illustration; and nude bathers in a landscape.

NotesArtist Note: While most drawings appear consistent with the style of Edwin A. Moore, some of the portraits may be by his sister, Ellen Mindwell Moore, who was a miniaturist. (Finlay 7/27/2004)
