DescriptionHalter-tie sweetheart neckline bathing suit. The suit is constructed of alternating sections of a solid bright blue cotton and a cotton print of chartreuse, blue, green, and black ovals on white. The front is shirred down the center by sewing over elastic. There are three ruffles encircling the lower half of the suit. The back is solidly shirred over elastic to the waistline. The leg openings are elasticized. The top of the suit is constructed with a stiff cotton lining across the front; boning is stitched at the sides of this lining. The suit is lined throughout with lightweight plain-woven white cotton.

Using the ties at the top of the bathing suit was apparently optional, as the photo of the original owner does not show them.
