DescriptionSmall buff-colored earthenware mug with a transfer-printed underglaze cobalt blue decoration and a blue-tinted lead glaze, a type of ceramic known as pearlware. The design found on all sides of the mug shows scenes from the Dutch countryside. Two windmills in the foreground look out over a body of water, with two sailboats sailing close together on the water. In the distance a third windmill sits on the shore. The mug also has a small handle which was molded, applied, and decorated by hand with underglaze cobalt blue.

The mug has a large crack running from the rim down through the foot. There are three small chips in the rim of the mug.
