DescriptionRound, white porcelain teacup (.a) and saucer (.b) decorated with bands of pink luster and a black transfer-printed landscape. The landscape shows a white two-story house in front of a road and fence in the middle distance that overlook a stream or lake in the foreground. Two trees on either side of the landscape frame the scene. The landscape on the saucer is surrounded by two thin lines of pink luster with a third thicker line of luster at the rim. The teacup has a thin line of pink luster on the foot and one-third of the way down the inside. An additional thicker line of pink luster is found at the inside rim of the teacup. A small, molded handle has been applied to the teacup opposite the landscape.
While the landscape on the teacup does not show any signs of wear, the landscape on the saucer does. Two hairline cracks begin at the rim of the saucer and point toward the landscape. One of those cracks has prompted a small triangular portion of the rim to begin to break off.
