DescriptionRound, tin-glazed earthenware plate with hand-painted cobalt blue decoration. The white surface of the plate is hand-painted with a scene that reflects the Chinese influence. In the middle distance is an island with a small pagoda, a few trees and plants, and a boat to the left. In the left distance is another island of rocks and trees. There are many scratches on the top of the plate, espcially along the inside edge of the rim. The white tin glaze has completely chipped off the outer edge of the rim and the foot. There are two larger chips in the top surface of the rim, and one large chip on the bottom of the rim. Three stilt marks are visible on the bottom of the plate.
