DescriptionSmall, cylindrical, creamware mug with hand-painted and transfer-printed overglaze dark red enamel. The body of the mug is decorated with a line of red enamel at the rim. The primary decoration consists of the name "WASHINGTON" outined in red enamel with clusters of flowers above and below. The pulled and applied handle has a dot and a line of red enamel down its length. The bottom of the mug is recessed.

To the right of the transfer-printed design, the mug is a darker cream color than on the rest of the mug. This discoloration continues inside the mug, along with accumulated dirt and imperfections in the glaze. Additionally, there is a hairline crack running through the top of the handle.
