DescriptionGroup of nine round, porcelain teacups with gilded decoration, part of a larger partial tea and coffee set of gilded porcelain consisting of one coffee cup, nine teacups, eight teacup saucers, and six coffee cup saucers. In general, the pieces of this partial set are decorated with a wide band of gilding at the rim and a gilded border below. The border consists of an undulating vine with leaves placed in the depressions of the vine, and clusters of grapes under the raised portions of the vine.

Each of the nine teacups has swelled sides and a relatively small foot. A band of gilding has been applied at the rim, just below the rim, and on the foot. The border described above decorates the widest point of each teacup. Each teacup has a molded and applied handle that is gilded on the outside.

The set is in generally good condition, although the gilded rims are worn to varying degrees on teacups .3, .4 .6, .7, .8, and .10. The gilding on the handles is worn on teacups .3, .6, and .10, again to varying degrees. Finally, one teacup (.7) has a crack running from the rim to the left of the handle, down the side, where it splits into two cracks. The crack has accumulated some dirt over time.
