DescriptionSmall, cylindical, porcelain coffee cup with gilded decoration, part of a larger partial tea and coffee service of gilded porcelain consisting of one coffee cup, nine teacups, eight teacup saucers, and six coffee cup saucers. In general, the pieces of this partial service are decorated with a wide band of gilding at the rim and a gilded border below. The border consists of an undulating vine with leaves placed in the depressions of the vine, and clusters of grapes under the raised portions of the vine.
The coffee cup has the applied gilding at the rim with border below, and an additional line of gilding at the foot. It also has a small, molded and applied handle with gilding on the outside.
