DescriptionA young man and a young woman, wearing only girdles made of leaves, are walking towards the right. The man holds his right hand to his head. The woman's hands are crossed across her breasts. They are pursued by an angel with a sword, who appears in a bright opening in the sky between dark clouds. Eight child angels or cherubs look on. Lush tropical foliage in the foreground includes palm trees, a calla lily, and what appear to be pineapple and banana plants. A large snake is coiled in a tall plant at the far left. Two small quail are in the foreground. An elephant and additional birds are in the right background, beyond a narrow river. A butterfly is in the center, directly above the heads of the man and woman.
