DescriptionPieced quilt in an unnamed block pattern with windmill blade circles. The quilt consists of a pieced top of plain-woven red and white cotton, batting, and a plain-woven cotton backing; the three layers are joined with a hand-stitched quilting pattern that follows the piecing pattern. The pieced pattern is made with solid red cotton and white printed cotton, or calico, with small black flowers. These are hand-pieced together in a geometric pattern of circles and squares. The backing is made of the same calico fabric. Each side of the quilt is edged with a straight grain red fabric binding.

Condition: The quilt top is stained, especially on previous crease lines on one half and in one corner section. The backing is also well worn and stained around the edges.
