DescriptionWithin an ornamental border, a large image of the Connecticut State Capitol, a High Victorian Gothic building with a dome, is flanked by the monograms "E F" and "C F". Horse-drawn vehicles are in the foreground, and trees are in the background. Two different models of treadle operated sewing machines are below. The machine at the right has two wooden drawers in its stand and wheeled casters in the metal legs. The word "WEED" is incorporated into the decorative ironwork on the sides of the stand.
