DescriptionDrinking glass made of cylindrical, pressed colorless glass, with Connecticut-themed motifs printed in mint-green transfer decoration and gilding. Just below the rim are two straight lines of gilded vines with small leaves. Between the gilded lines is the mint-green enamel word, "CONNECTICUT", flanked by a gilt star on either side. Below this are six rectangular or square panels, each depicting a different Connecticut landmark in gilding and mint-green transfer decoration. Starting at the left is a tall, vertical tower with the title, "HARKNESS TOWER", below. Above and to the right is a battleship at sea, with the title, "NEW LONDON", below. To the right of this is a bird and flowers, with the title, "STATE BIRD AND", above and, "FLOWER", below. To the right of the bird is a panel with a view of a bridge over a river, with the title, CHARTER OAK/ BRIDGE". Below these last three panels is a long, horizontal panel with a divided highway passing through a field and town, with the title, "CONNECTICUT TURNPIKE", below. Finally, to the far right, is a view of a Gothic-style building flanked by towers, with an uneven roof line and a round cupola in the center of the roof. This final panel is titled, "STATE CAPITOL". There is some light wear to the mint-green transfer decoration and some general wear to the glass overall.
