DescriptionA small girl stands in an interior holding a spotted dog, apparently a cocker spaniel, in her arms, partially wrapped in a sheet or towel. She wears a blouse with a wide neckline, which is slipping off her shoulder, and a short skirt. She is barefoot. A large sunken bath or pool is in the foreground. A rose floats in the water at the left. A mirror and a hair brush lie on the floor in the left foreground. A large basket or pot in the right foreground contains sponges. Additional sheets or towels are draped over a day bed or couch in the background and lie on the floor at the edge of the bath. The girl stands on one of them. Heavy curtains or drapes are in the background.
