DescriptionA marble monument consisting of a high rectangular base surmounted by an ornate ,egg-shaped urn or lamp is situated in a cemetery, at the base of a weeping willow tree. The tree, at the far left, arches over the central monument. Other gravestones lean to the left or right. Roses grow in the right foreground, to the left of the central monument, and between the gravestones at the right. A church with a tall steeple and a second willow tree are in the right background. A three-masted sailing ship, apparently at anchor, is in the distance.
