DescriptionA young boy sits on a cushion trimmed with gold braid and a tassel. He wears a dress with four stripes down each sleeve. Beneath the dress, he wears a long-sleeved shirt and pantalets. He has high buttoned shoes and striped socks on his feet. His left arm leans on a tall snare drum. His right elbow is on his knee, and his chin rests on his right hand. One drum stick is on top of the drum, the other is near the boy's feet. Drapery tied with a cord and tassel is in the right background.
