DescriptionStudio portraits of a young girl, identified as Hazel Emeline Tryon. Accession 2003.138.23 is Hazel at a later age, probably between 14 and 16 years old. In some of the portraits, a painted background is visible along with a chair. Accession 2003.138.17 is a view of a boy and a girl having what appears to be a tea party with several stuffed animal toys, probably teddy bears, and dolls. There is a small table and chairs set up on a small dirt lane. There are trees in the background.

NotesSubject Note: Hazel Emeline Tryon was born 16 March 1904 in Glastonbury, Connecticut.

Subject Note: Accession number 2003.138.17, a view children playing, was probably taken near the house on Tryon Street in Glastonbury. The boy in the image is possibly Hazel Tryon's brother, Raymond Stuart Tryon.

Technical Note: White stickers with red numbers are probably from a photography lab from getting reprints of the images. (Lee 2/19/2004)
