DescriptionA man and a woman stand on the left, facing a marble monument with a high base topped with a draped urn with a wreath on it. The man wears a military uniform. He holds his cap in his right hand and a closed umbrella or parasol in his left hand. He has a mustache. The woman's hands are clasped around his left arm. She wears a dress with bell sleeves and undersleeves and a bonnet trimmed with flowers with a veil. A weeping willow tree arches over the monument. Ivy grows on the trunk. Rose bushes grow at the base of the monument. Additional willow trees, poplar trees, and gravestones are in the left background.
