DescriptionA man and three women are in a rowboat on a long, narrow body of water that could be a river or a lake. The woman in the stern holds a parasol. The women seated in the center hold the oars. The man stands in the prow. The left shore is densely wooded, with a small rail fence on a point. There is a small wooded island in the center. At the right are a fallen tree, a small dead tree, two slender evergreens, and a leafy deciduous tree. Hills or mountains are in the right background.
