A small boy and a small girl stand at the right. The boy wears a double-breasted jacket with a full skirt and trousers. He holds a cap in his left hand. His right hand rests on his head. The small girl's right hand rests on his shoulder. She wears a black dress and pantalets. A wicker basket of flowers is on her left arm. Flowers, including roses, grow at the left and right and behind the monument. A weeping willow is at the left. Vines grow on a leafy tree at the right. A lake is in the background. A church and high hills or mountains are on the far shore.
