DescriptionA woman stands at the right on the broad base of a marble monument. She wears a dress with puff sleeves, a belt, a rectangular brooch, and a shawl. Her right hand is raised to cover her face, and her right elbow rests on the base of the monument. The monument has a high, rectangular base surmounted by an urn or lamp. A weeping willow arches overhead, and flowering plants, including roses, grow in the grassy lawn at the left and right. A broad river or lake is in the background. A boat with two sails is on the water. A small Gothic church and another willow tree are on the far bank at the far left.
Label TextMemorial prints commemorating family members were considered very fashionable and hung on the walls of many Victorian homes.
