DescriptionA man with long hair, a beard, and a mustache is seated at the right. He wears flowing robes and a cloak fastened with a clasp at his throat. He is barefoot and his right hand is raised. Five young children stand at the left. Two wear short tunics and are apparently boys. Two wears ankle-length dresses and are apparently girls. Two wear wreaths of leaves in their hair. Three have their hands folded as if in prayer. All are barefoot. Roses grow in the grassy lawn in the right foreground. A large tree and a wall of dressed stone are in the left background. A lower portion of the wall extends all the way across the composition.
