DescriptionThe title is surrounded by four oval vignettes surrounded with fruit and flowers. The fruits include grapes; the flowers include roses, harebells, lilies, and chrysanthemums. At the upper left, two children lie on a bed or couch. The younger child appears to be sucking his thumb; his head rests on the other child's shoulder. Angels look down from clouds above. At the upper right, a young man and woman sit beneath a tree. They are holding hands. At the lower left, a woman wearing a low-cut dress holds a young child in her lap. At the lower right, a young woman places her left hand on the shoulder of an elderly man who holds a hat in his hands. A cottage with a thatched roof is at the right.

NotesArtist Note: The signature is printed very faintly, and it is not possible to determine whether the firm name reads "Kellogg & Comstock" or "Kelloggs & Comstock." Based on the spacing between the letters, and the style of the lithograph, it seems likely that it was printed and published by Kellogg & Comstock. (Finlay 6/9/2004)
