In the background, men in uniform advance towards the right. They carry rifles with fixed bayonets. A cannon is being drawn towards the right. What appears to be part of another cannon is in a deep ditch or trench in the foreground. A large tree is in the left background. A large tropical plant, possibly a banana plant, is in the right background. Other plants grow in the right foreground.
