DescriptionTwo young boys wearing breeches, socks, and high laced shoes draw a four-wheeled cart. One boy wears a striped sash. Both boys have rose leaves in their hair. One boy also has two blossoms. A small girl sits in the cart, which is full of rose leaves and flowers. She wears a short dress with a wide neckline and is attaching roses to a ribbon in her hair. Another ribbon is tied around her left wrist. A grassy lawn, apparently part of a country estate, is in the background. Stone steps are at the right; a stone balustrade and a large stone house surrounded by trees are at the left. Small plants in the foreground may be strawberries.
