DescriptionThree-quarter-length standing portrait of a young woman wearing what appears to be a riding habit. The bodice of the dress is tightly fitted with eleven buttons down the front, long sleeves with white cuffs, and a collar. A white collar, probably part of a blouse, is visible above the top of the dress. A black ribbon is tied in a bow around the woman's neck. A cloak or shawl is draped across her right arm, and she holds what appears to be a riding crop in her left hand.
