DescriptionA four-column family register is surrounded by an ornamental border incorporating six vignettes in decorative frames. A stylized and interlaced vine pattern, with realistic morning glory blossoms, is in the left and right borders. The vignettes include: a man, a woman, a boy holding a hoop, and a girl standing outside; a woman wearing an apron, a seated man, and three small children in an interior; a wedding with a minister, bride, groom, and two attendants; a seated woman and a small child beside a grave monument; a house with trees and a grassy lawn; a mill with a waterwheel; a factory in a field with a pond or river in the foreground; and a church with a graveyard.
NotesSubject Note: Cornville, Maine, presumably the town in question, is located five miles north of Skowhegan.
