DescriptionA man with a beard and mustache carries a large cross on his back. He wears a long robe and a cloak. He is barefoot. A crown of thorns is on his head, and his head is surrounded by rays of light that function as a halo. A rope is tied around his waist. The other end is held by a bearded man wearing a tunic, cloak, and turban. Two soldiers at the left wear helmets. One wears a cuirass. The other holds the lower portion of the cross and helps to carry it. A few small rocks and plants are in the foreground.
