DescriptionA boy and a girl are seated on the ground out-of-doors under a bush or tree. The girl, seated on the left, wears a dress with a wide neckline and sleeves trimmed with lace. A bow is on her right sleeve, and a second bow is in her hair. She holds a rose in her left hand, which rests in her lap. Her left hand is on the left shoulder of the boy beside her. He wears a pleated shirt and long trousers. A small scarf or necktie is knotted around his collar. The children are seated on grass, with small plants in the right foreground. Hills and a waterfall are in the right background.
