DescriptionView of a woman sitting on a bench in a pubic square. She is wearing a hat, coat and scarf. There is a book or other flat object on her lap. There is a tall, sculpted tree immediately behind her. There is a tall flag pole behind her to the left. The tree and pole appear to be in the middle of an open plaza, in front of a large building. The building has arches, a decorative freize, and two-dimensional ionic columns on the facade. This picture was probably taken somewhere in Europe.
NotesDate note: Estimate.

Subject note: The woman is probably an acquaintance of Russell Cheney.
