DescriptionThree-quarter-length portrait of a young boy, standing and facing to the left. He wears what appears to be a dress with gold or brass buttons down the front of the bodice and a lace collar and cuffs. A belt with a gold or brass buckle is around his waist. A broad-brimmed hat with a plume is on his head, and a short cape is swept back over his shoulders. With his right hand, he is drawing a sword from a scabbard, which he holds in his left hand.
