DescriptionA small child, probably a boy, lies asleep on the ground. His head rests on his right arm, which rests on a small hill. He wears a dress with short sleeves, and a scabbard hangs at his side. The sword lies beside him on the ground, near a large broad-brimmed hat with two plumes. A large shaggy dog lies behind him, with his head turned to look at the child. They are in an open grassy area with a few small stones and plants. Small trees or bushes grow in the left background.
