DescriptionA young boy, wearing a plaid dress, is seated on a toy rocking horse. His dress appears to be buttoned on the left shoulder, and he has a belt with a metal buckle around his waist. He appears to be wearing pants or pantalets beneath his dress. He holds a whip in his right hand. The bridle of the horse is decorated with stars, and a rosette hangs from the right side of its neck. It appears to be constructed of wood. A small girl stands at the left. She wears a white dress with a gathered bodice. Her left arm rests on the boy's right knee. Trees are dimly visible in the background.
