DescriptionA young boy sits in a heart-backed corner chair. He wears short pants, a short jacket, and a short-sleeved shirt with a pleated front, all trimmed with lace. A small pin is at the top of his shirt. He wears short buttoned boots with a side closure and socks trimmed with lace. He holds a riding crop in his right hand and a large broad-brimmed straw hat trimmed with ribbons and feathers in his left hand. His left elbow rests on a small, round table covered with a tablecloth.
