DescriptionSix small girls are dancing in a circle, holding hands. Each girl wears a short, long-sleeved dress with a laced bodice over bloomers. All six girls wears wreaths of flowers in their hair. Two girls also wear broad-brimmed straw hats trimmed with ribbons. The four hats of the other girls lie on the ground at the foot of a large tree in the left foreground. A vine, possibly ivy, grows on the tree. A rose bush is in the right foreground. A two-story frame house with a porch is in the right background. A large fountain is beside the house with a grassy lawn, a picket fence, and additional trees beyond. A swallow flies near the roof of the house; a second swallow is perched on the edge of the roof.
