DescriptionA half-length portrait of a young girl is enclosed in a rectangular frame with rounded corners. She wears a dress with a wide neckline and short sleeves trimmed with lace. A sash at the waist is tied in a bow. She holds a broad-brimmed straw hat cradled in her left arm. Within the hat is a bird's nest with six birds in it. She appears to be feeding one of the birds with a small spoon held in her right hand. Trees are in the right background. A lake or stream is in the left background.
