DescriptionInterior view of the living room at Philip Cheney's house in South Manchester, Connecticut. The floor appears to be made of strips of wood and has a diagonal, striped pattern to it. The camera angle is facing a corner of the room. There are built in bookshelves and a fireplace on the left wall, with several large chairs sitting in front of it and a long table placed behind them, with more chairs facing toward the middle of the room. There is a large window on the same wall, near the corner. A secretary desk sits in the corner to the right of the window, on the right wall . The rest of the wall appears to be taken up by a floor-to-ceiling bay window. There is a couch directly in front of the window and a few chairs situated in front of it.
NotesDate note: Cataloging worksheet in object file gives date as circa 1925 - 30's.

Cataloging worksheet in object file states: "The house formerly belonged to Philip's father Knight Dexter Cheney and was renovated by Helen after they were married. Philip's only deman was that the living room not be touched."
