DescriptionHead and shoulders length studio portrait of Mary Bushnell Cheney as an older woman. She is looking towards the camera. Mary is wearing a lacy blouse that has large leg 'o mutton sleeves and a black choker. There is a dark brooch worn at the center of the choker and a light colored one pinned to the bosom of the dress. Mary's hair is pulled back in a bun.
NotesDate note: Estimate based on life dates and approximate age of subject in photograph. Cataloging worksheet in object file gives date as circa 1895. Mary Bushnell married Frank Woodbridge Cheney in 1863. They had twelve children, including two sets of twins.
