Her body is facing to the left but she is looking at the camera. Lucy is wearing a coat or dress that has wide lapels and buttons down one side, which start at the waist. She is also wearing a long strand of pearls and a pair of small, round, rimless glasses. There is a column visible in the background on the left, along with two patio chairs.
NotesDate note: Estimate based on life dates and approximate age of subject in photograph. Cataloging worksheet in object file gives date as circa 1920's. This picture was probably taken on the same day as 1991.54.114, based on clothing and accessories.
Lucy attended Vassar College and graduated in 1883. She married Wells Wadsworth Cheney in 1887 and gave birth to their only child, George Wells Cheney, in 1888.
