DescriptionBust length studio portrait of Lucy Compton Street as a young woman, probably taken when she graduated from Vassar College in 1883. She is looking off camera to the right. Lucy is wearing a basque jacket that has large pearl buttons over a white lace blouse. She is wearing drop earings and a choker necklace that has a cameo pendant hanging from it. Her hair is piled on top of her head and is decorated with a comb.
