DescriptionA woman, a small boy, and a small girl, stand on the left facing a marble monument with a rectangular base surmounted by a urn or casket with a flame on top. A cartouche on the side of the monument is blank. The woman wears a black dress, gloves, and a bonnet. The girl, who holds the woman's left hand, wears a dress, bonnet, and pantalets. The boy, who holds the woman's right hand, wears a jacket, cap, and pants. Lilies grow at the left of the monument. Roses grow at the right. A weeping willow arches over it. Additional gravestones are in a cemetery in the left background.
