The girl wears a short dress, pantalets, and a bonnet. She has a necklace around her neck and holds a small basket in her left hand. The boy wears a cap, a jacket with a pleated skirt, and pants. A weeping willow grows at the far left, with its branches hanging over the monument. Ivy grows on its trunk and a rose bush in bloom grows beside it.
