DescriptionAn elderly man lies on the ground, with his head resting on his left arm, which rests on his jacket, which is on a rock or tree stump. He appears to be asleep, but his left eye is open. He wears a shirt, vest, breeches, hose, and heavy shoes. A cap is on his head. His right hand is on a stick. A boy crouches at the left with his right hand extended towards a bundle, apparently containing small bird's eggs. He wears a shirt, cap, vest, pants, and shoes. A girl is partially visible behind a stump in the background. Her right hand is raised to her mouth. Trees, a lake, and a mountain are in the background.
