DescriptionLithographed advertisement for Enfield Powder Company gunpowder. In the center is the name of the company: "ENFIELD POWDER COMPANY / MANUFACTURERS OF / Superfine Sporting / AND ALL OTHER KINDS OF / GUNPOWDER / FOR MINING BLASTING NAVAL & MILITARY SERVICE. / Office of the Company No 36, Broadway N.Y. / John King Prest. / Paul Greeley Secy. / M.H. ROGERS AGENT. / ENFIELD AND NEW-YORK."

Above it, at the top of the sheet, there are images of ships. Below that, directly on top of the title seal, there are two American flags, muskets with attached bayonets, cannon, cannonballs, and barrels labeled "musket powder" and "cannon powder."

On the left there is what appears to be a mining or blasting scene: two men are working on a rocky landscape with pickaxes and mallets. On the right, there is a hunting scene, with two men with shotguns or rifles and a dog in a wooded landscape.

At the bottom, there is a vignette showing factories in a rural landscape. It is titled "Manufactory of the Enfield Powder Company." To the left of it is an image of a helmet and crossed bayonets with text on top that reads "California Rifle Company." On the right is a similar image, with text that says, "Extra fine grain American Eagle Gunpowder."
