DescriptionHead and shoulders length studio portrait of Wells Wadsworth Cheney as a young man. He is looking off camera to the left. Wells is wearing a white shirt with a dark vest, jacket, and tie. The jacket is buttoned at the top button only, and there is a handkerchief in the front breast pocket. There is a watch chain attahced to his vest and a round pin at the top of his tie. Wells has a moustache but no beard. His hair is parted down the middle or slightly to one side.
