Lucy appears to be seated. She is wearing a dark colored dress that has a ruffled, scoop neckline and short, puffed sleeves. Her hair is styled in a bun on top of her head. George is standing next to his mother, leaning into her. He is wearing a suit jacket over a white shirt. His hair is short and he has bangs.
NotesDate note: Photographer's inscription on recto says 1897. George was the only child of Lucy Compton Street and Wells Wadsworth Cheney. According to cataloging worksheet in object file, Lucy and Wells were married in 1887.
