DescriptionThree-quarter length studio portrait of Ward Cheney as a toddler. He is kneeling or standing on a padded, high back chair, looking off camera to the right. His hands are wresting on the back of the chair, and he is holding something thin in his right hand. Ward is wearing a long sleeve sweater over a dress that has buttons down the front. His hair is about chin-length and he has bangs that are cut straight across his forehead. There is a thin gold line printed around the image area, making a border. The edges of the carte-de-visite are gilt.
