DescriptionHalf length studio portrait of Seth Leslie Cheney as a young man. He is sitting in a decorative wicker chair, angled to the right and looking off camera. He is wearing a dark colored suit with a sack jacket, white shirt, and a dark tie that has small white polka dots on it. There is a light-colored handkerchief sticking out of his front jacket pocket. Seth's hair is slicked over to one side and he has a moustache that is long on the sides and hangs over his lip. There is a floral studio backdrop in the background.
NotesDate note: Estimate based on life dates and approximate age of subject in photograph. Cataloging worksheet in object file gives date as circa 1901. Seth Leslie Cheney was the sixth child of Frank Woodbridge Cheney and Mary Bushnell Cheney. He had eleven siblings.
