DescriptionHalf length studio portrait of Frances Virginia Cheney Platt in her wedding gown. She is seated and facing to the right. Her dress has lace on the forearms, shoulders and bodice. She is wearing a crocheted hat that has a thin veil attached to it. All of her hair is tucked into the cap except for a single loop of hair on each side of her face. Frances is wearing a single strand of pearls and is holding a small Bible in her lap with both hands.
NotesDate note: Frances Virginia Cheney married Roger Platt in April of 1929.

According to cataloging worksheet in object file, Frances and Roger were fourth cousins. He was the son of Charles Adam Platt (1861-1933) and Eleanor (Hardy) Bunker.
