DescriptionBorn digital photograph of a pedestrian crossing signal at the intersection of Park Street and Park Terrace in Hartford, Connecticut looking east. Following robust advocacy from residents, the City of Hartford converted pedestrian walk signals at seven intersections from manual to automatic, so that people traveling by foot could avoid touching the high contact surfaces during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The top sign is in Spanish and reads, "Favor No Oprimir / El Boton / Cruce de Peatones / Automatizado / Favor de Esperar la Senal Para / Caminar Antes de Cruzar." The bottom sign is in English and reads, "Do Not Push / The Button / Pedestrian Crossing Now / Automated / Please Wait for Walk / Signal Before Crossing."
